MEMEstreets (Now four years old!), features photographs of ephemeral art (graffiti, cryptic markings, and found art, both deliberate and accidental), discovered in the San Francisco Bay area and documented with my trusty Nikon digital camera. New photos are posted erratically, but I shoot for Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

map of India

Posted November 30, 2008

Map of India – crude, but basically accurate, carefully drawn in grease pencil on the back of a plastic “No Parking” sign and abandoned on the street. Nepal is clearly marked at top right, Bangladesh less so at right, Kashmir and Pakistan are pretty clear… I think that has to be the Ganges River at middle right, although it’s hard to read. Bombay (the old name, of course, for Mumbai) gets a bold dot at left, New Delhi… Goa – I guess that would have to be Bangalore at the bottom, although it seems drawn too far north. Hyderabad, maybe?
